The Best of All Time Custom Player is divided into two main sections:

2) Extended The Best of All Time Categories

This area represents our standard default player. Simply check or un-check the decades / genres of music you would like to hear or not hear

Extended The Best of All Time Categories
These categories have been broken down into all of the most popular music styles / genres: Rock, Country, Jazz etc.
You will notice each heading has 5 buttons beside them running in order from left to right. These buttons play an important role in your music listening experience as they directly represent different depths of music that are played for you. What we mean by this is:
Each style of music has many stages of enjoyment. From the most popular and palatable performers, to the most edgiest performance and songs of that style. If you take country music for example, musicians like Garth Brooks and Shania Twain would be at the first stage of enjoyment while really ‘edgy’ or ‘niche’ music like bluegrass and heavy banjo music would be reserved for the true country connoisseur. The Best of All Time Player operates this way for your easy music selection.

Here is a brief description of our ‘Five Stage’ approach to music:
Stage 1:
The most palatable and popular music for that style. This stage is the most “agreeable” by the general music listening public and is a good starting point if you are choosing to expose yourself to a new style of music.

Stage 2:
Still very palatable music listening for the general populace, but a little more “edgier” or “deeper” into the selected style

Stage 3:
Stronger music that represents more of the deeper style of playing experienced in this style.

Stage 4:
Music that much of the population may not understand or enjoy but a fan of this genre / style will really enjoy

Stage 5:
Pull out all of the stops! Let’s get deep into this style of music with no holds barred.

By doing this, we make it easy to discover new music in any genre without having to enter an artist name or any other information. The Best of All Time also successfully mixes all genres together to create a unique playing experience custom driven for you. Feel free to make your own station that encompasses any mix of music: blues, jazz, country, classical, hiphop, 80’s music and others will smoothly blend together as you tell The Best of All Time what you want to listen to. Just click on the style and depth you would like to listen and The Best of All Time will intelligently take care of the rest.

A note about our content
The Best of All Time staff pride themselves in creating a family safe environment where all songs and lyrics will never break a general “PG13” type rating. We try to create a positive and uplifting environment by only playing music that represent such values or enjoyments.

This is a direct indication that these channels are still under construction and still need a fair amount of work to complete. At this time, the channels with 5 buttons are stations that are closer to being complete but are still under final revision and addition.
